- Macroeconomic drivers, inhibitors and conditions CIOs and IT leaders should consider when determining IT strategic and operational plans
- How IT cost optimization strategies in 2016 differ from the Great Recession of 2008
- How cost optimization in the age of digital business will challenge traditional approaches
With the threat of difficult economic times ahead, anxious CIOs and IT leaders are bracing for a return to the cost-cutting efforts they pursued in 2008. Although there are troubling parallels with 2008, IT organizations will be challenged to purse new cost optimization approaches in 2016. With many IT organizations already committed to lean IT budgets, a mixture of new approaches, new strategies and proven practices is required. IT organizations and their enterprises must optimize by “doing more with less,” prepare for benefits maximization from digital business transformation, and enable the larger enterprise to minimize their costs.
