Sr. IT Manager of Big Data for Enterprise Analytics & Data (EAD)

The Sr. IT Manager of Big Data for Enterprise Analytics & Data (EAD) is responsible for operation, continuous improvement, and innovation of the big data platform and ecosystem that is used for delivering a wide variety of data and analytic solutions for multiple business stakeholders. The Sr. IT Manager of Big Data is a strategic role, ultimately accountable to the business for quality of services delivered. Responsibilities 

1. Develop and Deliver Big Data Capabilities
2. Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and business objectives
3. Implement capabilities that enable business stakeholders to generate value from big data
4. Collaborate with other IT Solution Delivery teams to share knowledge, ensure alignment and demonstrate unified IT solutions and services
5. Promote self-service data and analytic solutions that empower the customer to explore and manage data insights
6. Implement solutions that eliminate or minimize technical debt through a well-designed architecture, data model, and lifecycle
7. Prioritize projects according to the value delivered to the business
8. Deliver projects on-time, to specification, and within budget
9. Proactively solve problems deliver solutions to deliver and protect business value
10. Engage in Enterprise Architecture processes to align and support required capabilities
11. Drive Data Insights by Advancing Big Data Methods and Technology

Research and propagate big data methods and technology to enhance insight and decision making
Seek feedback from partners and stakeholders on methods and technology they find valuable
Develop and present business cases for new technology
Actively participate in the roadmap and lifecycle of methods and technology with relevant stakeholders
Lead and Develop Team Members

Direct a team of project managers, architects, engineers, analysts, and others in delivering big data capabilities
Ensure the team remains current on required skills
Invest time in coaching and mentoring team members
Help team members learn and grow
Provide timely and honest feedback and assessments
Deliver clear messages that provide recognition and foster improvement
Know people in your team as individuals
Encourage the team to innovate and to be creative
Provide Organizational Leadership
Maintain expert-level domain knowledge of big data systems and methods
Consistently update self and team to industry trends and technologies to stay current
Design, measure and assess key performance metrics to inform data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement
Establish, communicate, and refine department capabilities to ensure stakeholder expectations are aligned
Participate in or lead department activities
Collaborate with peers to create end-to-end solutions and solutions
Manage conflict and drive issues to resolution
Provide and support recognition, and inspire team members toward higher levels of commitment and influence

Qualifications and Experience 
10+ years of total IT experience
5+ years leading a function responsible for developing, delivering, and/or supporting data, analytics, or business intelligence solutions
Strong communication skills, with a track record of significant direct interaction and peer leadership with partners across the company
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional groups, with diverse interests and requirements, to a common objective
Experience creating, measuring, and improving business processes
Experience hiring, developing, and leading senior all levels of IT technical experts
Ability to independently prioritize work from multiple sources, including quick tasks and large scale project work
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Self-motivated and drive for results

Education 
Required
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology

Desired
Masters Degree, IT, Business Administration, Management, or Analytics
